SLP-25

The SLP-25 lumber press has been modified over the years to be able to meet demands in the toughest mill environments. Its rugged features were built to withstand powerful stresses during compression, and its flexible design can be configured to suit a whole host of layout requirements.

The SLP-25 has built a reputation for being the fastest, strongest, and most reliable press in its class, and resolving bottlenecks in operations. The machine’s eight second cycle time and extended uptime allows us to deliver higher production volume to customers on an accelerated timeline and save costs, replacing the need for two lines in some instances. The SLP-25 can produce 25,000 lbs. of top compression force with an opening height of up to 52 inches.

We place safety at the forefront of everything we do. The SLP-25 is equipped with top platen safety pins, safety lockout system, an Allen Bradley Compact Logix based control system with diagnostics and an optional integrated safety package with light-curtains and fencing to create a safe work-zone around the machine.

Service and maintenance

Samuel Packaging Systems Group’s team of field service technicians travel to remote mills to support the longevity and maintenance of customer machines and tools.  Our experts draw on years of experience. We provide maintenance and service agreements, which includes semi-annual visits to customer sites for preventative maintenance, diagnoses and correction of any issues and identifying process improvements.

We maintain a full supply of replacement material and parts to ensure continued operations and efficiency.

Safety and compliance

Workplace equipment can be harmful if not used correctly. Our team of specialists provide on-the-job training to machine operators. Each piece of equipment also comes with safety warnings, instruction labels and highly integrated programmable safety solutions.

Our on-site equipment is regularly put through rigorous testing and inspections by safety engineers to ensure it is in top shape and in full compliance with local laws, regulations, and standards. Our PET and steel strapping is approved by the American Association of Railroads.
