Samuel's Manufacturing Divison Changes Leadership

Samuel, Son & Co., Limited, (Samuel), announced today a change in leadership in its Manufacturing Divisions. The company is pleased to announce that Colin Osborne will be joining its Manufacturing Division as President, Samuel Manufacturing effective August 4.

Current President John Morton will be retiring as of May 1, 2016 and during the transition period leading up to his retirement, John will play a valuable role focusing on Samuel’s strategic initiatives for the manufacturing division of Samuel.

Colin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and operations in the manufacturing industry.

He served as Chief Operating Officer and VP of Strategy at Stelco Inc., a major Canadian steel producer from 2004 to 2006 and subsequently joined Caelan Consulting Inc., as President and CEO in 2006, which provides consulting services in the metals, mining and manufacturing sector. From 2007 to 2015, he served as President and CEO of Vicwest, operating 18 manufacturing sites in Canada producing metal fabricated construction and storage products for the agricultural, building construction, and heavy industrial markets.

He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Tube City IMS and has previously sat on boards for Thomson-Gordon Group, McMaster Innovation Park and Strongco. Colin earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec in 1987.
