Job Description:

​As the Production Supervisor, you will supervise personnel and processes to ensure orders are executed on time and to customer specification. Your abilities to prioritize and schedule tasks are important in this role. Coordinating with the shipping department, you will ensure orders scheduled for loading and are in the proper work areas.  You will also supervise receipt of incoming material, proper tagging and placement to assure the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with the shipping and scheduling staff about current and upcoming processing and raw material orders by helping establish priorities and delivery schedules to assure the most efficient delivery routes and use of resources

  • Co-ordinate production orders between sales and warehouse by evaluating priority of orders, scheduling processing, anticipating difficulties, etc., to assure maximum productivity and efficiency in producing material

  • Anticipates difficulties to assure maximum productivity and efficiency in producing material

  • Schedule workforce per job and per shift by reviewing incoming orders and employee qualifications to expedite quality of production and timely delivery to customers

  • Supervise employees by instructing, training, organizing and monitoring the daily activities associated with operations to assure the accurate and efficient processing of customer's orders

  • Encourages and ensures a safe, clean and quality conscious work environment

  • Complies with the designated ISO responsibilities, environmental management system, health & safety and company rules and guidelines.

  • Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors

  • Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards

  • Strives for continuous improvement

  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities relating to the product, process and quality system

  • Identify and record non-conformities, investigate the cause, recommend or provide solutions and verify the implementation of said solutions

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.



  • 2+ years of relatable supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Metal blanking, slitting or CTL experience strong assets

  • Effective communication skills

  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and schedule tasks and resources

  • Exposure to with quality management systems (ISO)

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Familiar with Health & Safety regulations
