The Team Lead Technical Services position's primary responsibility is to help build and grow our IT server infrastructure and related systems, while providing guidance to team members.
Project Management Support
Oversee the team to ensure they consistently deliver the required services.
Monitor and interact with individuals on the team and identify and communicate to Management skills that require developing.
Identify key strengths and weakness and assign tasks and projects based upon this.
Motivate and coach the team to achieve goals and targets.
Act as a liaison between Analysts and Management.
Resolve conflicts and business issues in a timely manner.
Ensure manpower and resources are used properly.
Assist to develop project lists and assign tasks to specific employees.
React to time sensitive issues when problems occur (crisis management).
Develop the team to ensure they consistently deliver the required services and are cross trained to support one another.
Monitor and interact with individuals on the team to identify skills that require developing and plan for the appropriate training to support the business.
Motivate and coach the team to achieve goals and target
Provide technical assistance with projects during all project phases of the standard Project Management methodology
Complete assigned tasks in project server to support internal client services or interdepartmental projects through the deployment of hardware and software.
College Diploma/University Degree in IT combined with 5-7 years of equivalent work experience
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) Designation or equivalent experience is required; Microsoft Certified Solutions Engineer (MCSE) is preferred.
Strong Knowledge of the following technologies:
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft DHCP, DNS, Group Policy
Storage - SAN, NetApp, EMC including FC and/or iSCSI networking
Microsoft Terminal Server and/or Citrix
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
Microsoft System Center 2012 (SCCM, SCOM, SCVMM, SCSM, DPM)
Blackberry Enterprise 10.x
Microsoft Lync Server 2010 / 2013
Knowledge of scripting languages and system automation (PowerShell, batch)
Experience working with sites containing 500 + users
Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
