Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Talent Acquisition and Staffing:

  • Work closely with SPVG Human Resources Managers to assist with divisional recruiting efforts; to include screening, references, onboarding of hires, best practices and provide assistance on critical needs and group level initiatives.
  • In collaboration with Human Resources Managers, create a candidate experience that supports the employment brand to include marketing of job opportunities, community relationships, on line presence and referral programs.
  • Partner and source with local career centers, career service organizations, all levels of educational centers, Veteran Administration, staffing agencies, and online career boards.
  • Manage recruiting resources to continuously improve recruiting function and cost effectiveness, measured through quality of hire
  • Responsible for the SPVG social media recruitment campaign to include, a strategic employment branding for SPVG in alignment with Samuel initiatives, researching market trends, and ensuring that recruitment effort are leading the market to attract the best candidates.
  • Identify career fair and networking opportunities for SPVG.
  • Manage and analyze job postings for cost effectiveness and applicant hits utilizing metric driven processes.  Results and recommendations will be communicated to divisional HR Managers to ensure job postings are filled the most efficiently.
  • Facilitates pre-employment screening for applicants at multiple locations as requested; prepares offer letters, pre-employment screenings and onboarding documents, and notifies recruiting sources and candidates as position is filled.
  • Assist with divisions by preparing job descriptions, posting jobs, recruitment material and other related position/recruitment related information.


    Employee Relations and Employee Engagement:
  • Assist with the development and management of employee recognition programs.
  • Coordinate employee events such as retirement parties, recognition dinner, and other internal and external events.
  • Maintain effective communication channels for all employees.
  • Identify and recommend retention strategies; assist with implementing retention strategies and employee relation initiatives as designated.
  • In the absence of the Human Resources Manager be able to assist and advise leadership in the areas of documentation, disciplinary action, and policy administration.


    Training:
  • Work closely with the SPVG HR Managers to sustain and enhance the SPVG onboarding program to ensure the best success for new hires.
  • Coordinate new hire training and onboarding, and assist with position training throughout all departments to be compliant with HR ISO procedures.


    Compliance:
  • Responsible for maintaining reporting and compliance related to recruiting and staffing activities and leading Company responses to government compliance requirements including OFCCP and EEO audits.
  • Respond to employee and management questions related to HR programs, policies and compliance issues.
  • Revise policies and procedures as assigned and disseminate changes to employees in specific location.

     
    Other:
  • Able to backfill Human Resources Coordinator, Human Resources Manager, and divisional HR Team Members as needed.
  • Handles day-to-day employee questions and concerns.
  • Act as a liaison for committees, corporate and SPVG HR team.


    EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (i.e. MS Office applications).

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Completion of post-secondary education, with a major in Human Resources or related field strongly preferred or Three – Five years of experience in multi-disciplined HR environment.
